Our Story
The story began in 1991, when Sindbad had the idea of discovering the wonders that lay beneath the sea. This wonder led to us taking the opportunity to create our own coral reef and we have encouraged our clients to go underwater to discover our creation. All this was possible thanks to our two Sindbad Submarines, the only real ones in north Africa. Therefore, we decided to build the Sindbad Hotel to continue the development of our activity based on the discovery of a vast underwater world, giving people a greater chance to enjoy the beauty of the Red Sea through snorkeling and diving. We have always had a dive center and a water sports center within our Sindbad Hotel, which have always worked side by side with our Submarine and Quest, but we knew there was more. We decided to take advantage of our experience to give people the opportunity to discover the beauty of the underwater world, but with greater knowledge and more professionalism. In 2019, we further enhanced our offering by adding another jewel to the Sindbad Hotel crown: Dive Base Academy was born.
Our Vision
Dive Base Academy is under the direction of the enthusiastic diving fan Mr. Islam Mahdy. In order to ensure continuing high quality, he regularly visits the diving center to check that all standards are always respected. Mr. Osama Hamed, Sindbad’s Managing Director, passes by the diving center daily to make ensure that everything is running smoothly and that guests are satisfied after every activity. Mr. Ashraf Milad, Director of Maritime Operations, has more than 20 years of experience and is ready to support our guests at any time. Mrs. Natalie is the Sales and Marketing Manager and is responsible for making contact with tour operators, travel agencies and hotels and making sure that all our visitors get everything they desire from the services that we offer.
